A note from Soul Care Counseling and Consulting

Hello everyone, I want everyone to know that Soul Care Counseling and Consulting, PLLC is here to provide you with the highest level of mental health support during this COVID-19 Pandemic. For those of you that are uncomfortable going into public places as this pandemic continues to increase, I urge you to consider telemental health sessions for your therapy sessions. I can provide those services for you. Please let me know if you are interested.

Here are some self-care ideas to protect your mental health during this time:

Maintain a sense of normal routine as much as possible.

Take care of your body with nutrition (stay hydrated), exercise and rest.

Focus on positive activities, if possible increase your pleasurable activities and those activities that give you a sense of achievement.

Use your coping skill as needed.

Challenge, change and reframe those negative unhelpful thinking styles.

If you are feeling depressed or anxious, reach out to your social network and share your concerns with others that you trust. Limit your exposure to constant negative news about the pandemic. It is great to keep on top of any major developments but constant exposure to every development can result in some depressed mood, anxiety and secondary trauma symptoms. Also, ensure that the information you do get is from reliable sources. I will include some reliable sources below.

Here are some reliable sources for COVID-19 information:
